| The Alfa Laval SMP-BC Mixproof Valve is pneumatically actuated and remotely controlled using compressed air. It features two small normally open (NO) pneumatic valves: a detecting valve and a CIP valve. The valve plug is equipped with double seals, creating an atmospheric leakage chamber between them. In the event of seal failure, any leakage is routed safely through the detecting valve, eliminating contamination risk. The leakage chamber can be cleaned by introducing CIP fluid via the detecting valve. The design also resists water hammer, making it highly durable and dependable. |
